Tiny Tins Altar Workshop 10.26.24

We are thrilled to have successful local art instructor (and one of our coveted team members!) Camille of CrafternoonATX lead y'all through an altar making workshop just in time for Dia de Los Muertos.

It's that time of the year when we honor the memory and celebrate the life of our loved ones who have passed on to the next realm. As we gather ofrendas and decorate our altars at home, let us gather and share stories of the happy memories we have with those who played an important role in our lives. In this workshop, you will create mixed-media altar boxes using small tin boxes. With each box, you will be asked to think about who you are making this for and what items, colors and patterns represent their spirit most. Your altar can be for a beloved relative, friend or pet.

You are welcome to bring in miniature scale photos and/or personal items that you wish to add to your tin case altar. Each tin is the size of an Altoids box. We hope making these sweet additions to your home altar or peace corner will create long lasting warmth as you continue to honor your loved ones.

By adding a ticket to cart, you accept all policies in place at 7th Street Candle Co to make the class a welcoming and kind environment for yourself and others. Upon arrival you will sign in and agree to our workshop waiver and social media release.

Tickets are non refundable but can be transferred to another adult.

Included:

• 1.5-2 hours of learning from Camille of CrafternoonATX
• Tiny tins
• Use of all necessary tools like hot glue guns, scissors, pens, and a variety of collaging items such as lace, trinkets, pieces of jewelry, patterned paper, and more.
• Resources for "end of life care" + death doulas, and an open discussion around death and the holiday at the beginning of the workshop
